A red fox, in it's thick winter coat, stares into a light snowfall. As the snow continues to pile up, foxes have to work harder to catch enough prey to survive. But blessed with an incredible sense of hearing, capable of detecting a rodent scurrying around under feet of snow, the red fox is better suited than most for a winter in the northern Rockies.
